Pam called and things are great. They survived a bad storm in Virginia, and
should be home I believe in the next day or two. She has tons of photos, so we
can all look forward to that.

They are just having way too much fun. I believe they're gypsies at heart :-)

Sorry Sherry,

The storm was in Kentucky (Ft Knox, we actually drove by the gold
repository) and we're now in Virginia.  I wasn't too clear on the
phone, was I?

As for being gypsies, weeelllll, there you have me.  There's a part of
me that likes to keep on moving.  If it weren't for Rob's medical
needs, I'd be seriously looking at selling the farm and going on the
road.  Wait, that's a bad country/western song, isn't it?  I don't
know, I don't listen to country/western music as a rule.  Sorry, am
feeling goofy today.  Haven't eaten yet and need to get some food in
my system.

Have spent a night in Knob Noster Missouri and decided that that part
of the world is just too hot to survive.  Not only that, but we were
so tired we picked just about the worst spot to pitch a tent in the
whole camp ground.  Blame it on me.  I was doing the choosing, and the
campground cat was in the spot opposite the one I chose.

We're spending the next three days here in Bristol Virginia, then
dropping Mike off on our way back home.  Today, we're doing laundry,
drying out tents and equipment from the storms, and re-organizing our
stuff.  I don't think any of us knows where anything is other than our
imediate laundry, and I'm having nightmares about that.  Other plans
are to rest, relax, and give Rob time to get himself some time off the
road.

I'm still looking forward to Toad Suck Arkansas, though.  I'll be
definately taking a fan if necessary for the heat, and bounce fabric
sheets for the mosquitos and such.  Rob's mom swears by them as a
repelant.  After sniffing the fresh stuff, I can see why.

More later, along with pictures,

Pam S.
