I see Steve posted my update about the proceedure being so far away. And
that I was upset about it. Well, I went to the office in peson Saturday
because its the day when the new girl(the one who wouldn't give me an
earlier appointment for crackes) isn't in. I talked to the tech robyn
about him still having infection and asking if it would be ok to
doubleup the meds, I was going to ask if there was a cancelation to bump
up crackles' date, but before I could she asked if the 20th was for my
convenance or theirs. I told her it was the earliest date I was able to
get. She flipped through a few pages and asked "How bout Monday?" So he
went in today.

Crackles is home and drugged out of his little half furry head(shaved
again). He has a tube in for drainage and a flexable clothlike
elizabethan collar which his little drug hazed mind only took a half
hour to figure how to remove. He continued to attack it til I removed it
from his cage. I figure in his drug state he must think it is a monster
or something, he settled down once it was removed from his sight.

The bad news the thing is still in there, they got some peices out and
the sent them out to be biopsied(sp?), she isn't sure what it is still.
She said it was spongy. So its still in limbo. She said the biopsies
should be back by the end of the week. I don't like that word biopsy, it
is a very scary word.

Now more bad news, It actually cost almost $100 dollars more than
estimated because of the biopsies. She didn't call and tell me it would
be more til I got there, she said it wsn't an option. But darnit, the
dang thing is still in there. I didn't have the extra, I hope she'll
take payments or something cause I am sure its gonna be even more before
everything is said and done.

Also she said someone called last week to donate money but something
went wrong when they tried to process it, had the wrong # or something
but if you are still willing to donate I'd be so thankful. They said
they left a message for you asking you to call back but hadn't so they
didn't know if you got the message, they gave me the last name of the
person but I don't know peoples last names here or in RPCA so if you
think it could of been you(I don't know if you want to remain annonymous
so I don't want to state the name here in case you are uncomfortable
with that) please call Dr. Karen's office again 941-766-8555 but to
narrow it down the last name started with a 'N'

I was so hoping this would solve the ear problem and I could stop
worrying, now I am worried more.

Now I got to figure what to do with a drug out cat that is dripping ick
from a tube, I tried the bathtub but crackles wasn't thrilled with the
idea so he is back in the cage.

I'd like to thank everyone again for helping crackles. Please keep up
the good thoughts because he still needs them.

peace, p

P.S. he has now eaten and seems comfortable(as comfortable as you can
get in a cage anyway) I'll let him out when his pupils get back to
normal size and I think he won't fall jumping up onto something.

I am sure the vet will take partial payments to pay off the full bill. I
will contribute a little bit more at the end of the month once I get my
bills paid to help out.
Poor little Crackles, I hope they find out what the damn thing is and get it
cured.

Poor Crackles. I sure hope something can be done and the biopsy is not scary
in the end. I'm sure the vet is willing to take payments if the treatment
given so far is not completely paid for. Please keep us posted.

Just called Crackles' vet this morning and his vet bill has been paid off.
I'm afraid the poor little thing might need some more treatments in the near
future, so anything to help his meowmie now will just be something less she
has to worry about.
We will keep purring and praying that they find out what's causing his
problems and get them fixed.

I just called and put another $10 on their account.  If nothing else,
that should help with more meds.  I really hope that this is something
that can be cleared up soon.

Me too. This poor little cat kind of amazes me.  I just remember how
terribly bedraggled he looked when she first took him in.  Poor little guy.

I think that's what gets me about Crackles. He looked SO miserable in
the early pic and what a terrible life he had with the neighbors from
h*ll.

If more is needed, please post, ok? If so, I'd like to send something
in Shadow's name. Pulling for Crackles to be well and comfortable.
I'm afraid I've lost the OP, I thought i had archived it.
