My oldest brother Paul called - can you cat sit for me while I am in Canada
for a couple of weeks?  Uh, sure.  He'll be by tomorrow to bring me a key to
his house.  Told me where the food is and asked that I just drop in every
couple of days, clean the litter box, make sure she has food, fresh water,
like that.

I've never met this cat.  He says she is something akin to the elephant man;
she has some sort of bone deformity but is a lovey sweet cat.

Here is the kicker; I don't get along with this brother.  I don't even know
how to get to his house!  I had to ask him to please bring me written
directions.  (Great family I have, eh?)  But sure, I have a soft spot for
cats so okay.  I'll watch out for the kitty :)

What have you done?  You have opened your heart to a cat in need.  Who
knows?  Maybe this will bring you and your brother closer together?

Now it looks like I won't be in town either.  John's got me checking fares
for an excursion to upstate New York.  Brother will just have to find
someone else or board the kitty.

Hi Jill,

Where is the show going to be held at in Syracuse? I am only about 15 to 20
minutes from there!

Hi Patti!  I don't know the exact location or the "name" of the show.  The
dates are 7/16 - 7/18.  If the process holds true to past form, the
exhibitors set up Friday morning and there would be a "preview" that
evening, usually 5 or 6 PM until dusk.  Then the show would run from around
10-6 Saturday and Sunday.  I'll try to get and post the particulars when he
calls today.  He's already up there; his mother lives in Rochester.

The airfares are ticking me off.  Syracuse is far too expensive to fly into
from Memphis so he had me check Rochester.  Much more reasonable.  However,
the MEM to ROC fare last night round trip was $373.  This morning it's up to
$461.  This always seems to happen.  Since he reimburses me, he takes a
"let's wait and see what happens" stance (I don't blame him) but then the
fares LEAP.  What gives with that?!

If I'm going to be up there helping out, I absolutely have to book this
today.  Due to other circumstances I'd have to fly in on Wednesday, 7/14.
Doesn't leave much time for getting everything done that needs to be done
before I go to the airport.

Jill
