Francesca has evidently decided  her latest hideout for little TK was not up
to scratch, and so moved the kitten  to another part of the closet behind
the area customarily occupied by my rather large laundry basket. THIS time
at least, I was not so frantic about not seeing the kitten where I expected
to see her. =o) The other positive thing is that Cesca has once again
consented to use the large box  I got her a few days after TK came home. The
laundry can live somewhere else until the next time Cesca decides TK needs a
new home. =o) And yes, TK is getting cuter and larger every minute.  I hope
to have more pictures up in my album later today.

Reminds me of my first cat Eliza and her kittens. She initially had them in
a cuboard under the stairs, but that was where everybody stashed their
coats, and was also impossible for her to keep control of the little
b*****rs once they got their eyes open. So one day she moved them into a
half full reed clothes basket, one of those that like you could use as part
of snake charming act! From her point of view it was perfect, quiet, easy to
get in and out of for her, but downright impossible for the kittens for at
least another couple of weeks. Eliza was a very smart cat :-)

I'm reminded of my first cat, Tiger. She had four kittens just a day
or two before we left on a family vacation. Since she had her brood
nicely settled into a box, Dad moved them, box and all, to the garage
for the duration of our trip. A neighbor came by every day to tend to
the cats and dogs.

When we got home, there was Tiger but I couldn't find the kittens
anywhere! I was rather upset, thinking they'd gotten out through the
garage door (which was closed tight). But Mom told me to calm down and
just wait, and to leave Tiger alone in the garage, while Dad moved the
box back into the house and changed the bedding.

Sure enough, it wasn't very long before we heard a pounding on the
door to the garage from the house. There was Tiger, kitten in her
mouth. She carried the kitten into the house, put him into the box,
and then returned to the garage. Repeat X3. We figured the neighbor
scared her when he was taking care of things around the house, and she
moved the kittens to protect them.
