When it rains it pours (swear to god, it's rained here every day but one for
over a month). Along with all the other stuff going on in my life, now I'm
noticing Persia is sneezing. It is entirely possible she's always sneezed
and I'm just noticing it because I'm at home most of the time now. Her eyes
are clear, no mucous or discharge from nostrils that I can find evidence of.
And, it's only maybe one sneeze a day, or two. Not like she's walking
around sneezing her head off. I'll be inquiring about it when I take her
back for her check-up. Please, don't let this be something other than
"well, if you'd dust more often..." ;)

Shmogg has an occasional sneeze too. I figure its because he's just stuck
he's head into somewhere that hasn't seen a wet cloth in years.
But, like you, I can't help but worry about the furkids. Purrs that its
nothing to worry about.

Pardon the piggybacking. My mom's cat had a really bad bout of sneezing
a few years ago. Turned out that she had somehow inhaled (!) a blade of
grass and it was stuck, tickling the inside of her nose. TED reached up
with a pair of forceps and pulled out the offending vegetation, and she
was fine again. Could Persia have inhaled something?

I know that the use of Grass by cats is quite common, but surely your not
suggesting they inhale :-)

ROFL!!!!! Hey, I admit I inhaled in the 70's, 80's even into the 90's. But
I never got a blade of anything stuck up my nose! <G>

Cougar aka Kookie cat sneezed all the time my granddaughters were visiting
last week. As soon as they left, he stopped. He must have been allergic to
them!

Maybe she's allergic to cats (evil grin)...

Was that one of the cat superstitions? Like when the cat sneezes a
certain number of times, it means rain? It seems to fit your
situation.

Jill, the mold spores are probably out of control there with all the rain.
Maybe she's just a little allergic.

I had a cat who used to have "sneezing fits" every once in a while. He
certainly wasn't sick, so both the vet and I suspected allergies, but
couldn't figure out what he was allergic to. He didn't seem to mind,
but cats are so uninhibited about these things that I often got a
shower, if he was sitting on my lap when the fit took him!

Our mob sneeze once or twice most days - I always attribute it to my
slack housekeeping and cats' insatiable curiosity leading them to
stick their noses in corners. If there is no discharge and Persia is
not uncomfortable, then I would probably not worry.
