I used to think that they only did that with messages in bottles, carrier pigeons, and such. The longest Sally has ever worn a collar was four hours! I used to buy the breakaway types [expensive darn it] because there's a lot of shrubbery hereabouts that she could get snagged in. After six collars, along with the ID gizmos, I gave up and had her chipped. So if she ever gets lost, not that she travels far from home, I stand a good chance of getting her back.
