Purrs for our trip to Purrth

Well, Dennis has been studying like a madman for the last 6 weeks or so.
He's been home 2 weeks and it seems like I've hardly seen him.  We are going
to Purrth from July 4 to 17 and Dennis will be writing exams to convert his
pilots licence from Canadian to Australian.  The exams are rumoured to be
super hard and everyone's saying he'll fail.  Naturally that makes him want
to pass even more!  I think he'll pass because he's been working so hard and
is getting in the 90's on the practice exams (he needs 80% to pass).  But
purrs would still be welcome :-)
After he passes the exams, we can apply for our Australian resident visa.
That's a whole 'nother can of worms, but we'll take it one step at a time.
Vino will be taken care of by his maid, as usual.  We'll miss him terribly,
especially Dennis who's been away so much this past year it seems like he
hasn't spent nearly enough time with his furry buddy.
Helen, can you email me your phone #?  We'll be getting a sim card for our
cell and I'll be able to call and hopefully we can get together again.
Maybe go rollerblading?  My email address is badwilson at yahoo dot com.

Go Dennis.  Just tell Vino to purr for him while you are away, cause if
Dennis passes he will no doubt get to spend more time with the two of you
eventually.

Hi Britta
Have sent my phone numbers off the group - see you soon! Blading
sounds good, or if you like I can show you a really nice spot
down near where I live called Sixty Foot Falls (a few pics at
http://au.f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/helenwheelss/ in the Sixty
Foot Falls album)
The weather is not too good for outdoor stuff right now, but
hopefully it'll clear up by next weekend.

Helen, Sixty Foot Falls looks gorgeous!  Would love to check it out.  Yeah,
it's too bad about the weather, we originally wanted to come in September to
get better weather.  We are very scared of the cold because nowadays I
shiver when it's 23C.  Oh well, we are packing our warmest clothes (of which
we don't have many).  At least it will be nice to get away from the heat
here.
I'll call you in a few days, probably middle of next week.

Help - I emailed my contact details to Britta, but they bounced
back as undeliverable. If anyone has an email address for Britta
that's different to the one she uses on the news group, would you
mind emailing it to me privately?
Thanks!

Well, I'm sorry to be late with the purrs but better late than never, I
hope!  PURR for the exams and for a successful trip, Britta!

Purrs coming for the exams results to exceed the nay sayers
expectations, if for no other reason so that he'll have more time to
spend on the truly important stuff - like Vino ;-)

Ooooo, good luck to Dennis!! I hope he passes the first time - that would
be a feather in his cap.

And enjoy your trip! Might as well find out what it's like there in the
winter.

Purrs,
Joyce

Purrs to you and Dennis.  I hope he aces the exam!  Good luck with the
residents' visas.  I have heard that getting Australian residency
visas is slow, expensive and extremely frustrating.

Can't wait to meet you here on the east coast one day.  We can offer
you a spare bed near Sydney, a splendid view and a cat or two to
cuddle.
