I hurt my back (again...) so I've been home in bed for the past 5 days.
Kensie must know something is up, because she has been playing nursemaid
very well. She has spent many, many hours meatloafing on my chest (not
very common for her) while I've been reading, which is about all I've
been able to do. She has even curled up and taken naps on me, a very
rare thing for her.
Strangest of all, instead of sleeping on her pillow next to me, as she
always does, she has been sleeping right up next to me, something she
has *never* done before.
I have been thinking of putting some tuna water on my back, so I could
get a kitty back massage.
While I'm getting better, I don't have a very good chair for my
computer, so I can't spend much time here :-(

You know research has found the purring of a cat is of a wave-length
that is healing, especially for bones. So Kenzie is really healing
you. But wait until you get the bill! ;-)

Healing purrs! I'm glad you have a good nurse for this trying time. I
know back injuries are miserable. It seems there's no way you can move
that it doesn't hurt.

They are so perceptive. Stinky always seems to know when something is
wrong-- either that or he's just happy that the Giant Hot Water Bottle
(i.e. me) is staying home all day. ;)

I hope your back gets better soon. I can hardly imagine what it must
be like hurting your back so badly that you end up in bed for a week.

Did your doctor prescribe a muscle relaxant? They help me when my
back has a spasm. Good luck. MLb
