Tomorrow morning I will put the cats in their Sherpa bag (sounds easy,
doesn't it?) and then we are off to the island. Luckily, there is room for
me in my brother's car, so I won't have to regale a busload of people with
Frank's rendering of the hit song, "Oh, Look What My Cruel Hoomin Did to Me.
She Stuck Me in a Bag with My Stinky Little Sister".
I will spend the weekend on the island, but then I have to come back for a
week at work before my summer holidays start. So next week I will be in town
sans cats, and in really bad need of kitty stories. ;o) Next week I will
probably also go in for a biopsy to check what my thick skin actually
consists of, but I'll let you know if that happens. And of course, Friday is
the day of the big snip, if I go through with it. So I'm looking forward to
next week with mixed feelings.
It's rainy and windy here right now. A few purrs for better weather tomorrow
when we have to take the boat out to the island would be much appreciated.
My brother's a very skilled boatsman, so I'm not that worried, but the
windier it is, the more the boat rocks, and the more the boat rocks, the
worse the cats feel.

Good luck!! (BTW, Pearl knows that song too.) Please keep us posted on both
the biopsy and the big snip. Can't wait to hear.

Purrs for smooth water, a negative biopsy, and for the big snip to go
well.

Why do you always send your kitties ahead? I would personally be more
selfish and keep them with me - no fair starting vacation without the
slave! :)

Well, there's no-one here to take care of them during midsummer, because my
Mum is on the island. It's also easier to lug a lot of baggage with me when
I go for my holidays if I don't have to lug the cats along, as well. I don't
need to take much for the midsummer weekend. These are all things you have
to take into consideration when you don't own a car, though I did get to go
in my brother's car this time.
But it is hard to be here at home without them. I feel like I'm not quite
alive without a furball or two to pet. :o( One week to go!

That's because life without cats is barely worth living...

I hope the wave action calms down long enough for your trip. Purrs for
the cats to have a good time on the island and that you have a good
time, too. Whatever you decide to do with your hair, you are hereby
ordered to have a picture made and put it in your picture folder so we
can all go "ooohhh!" and "AAHH!" over it! ;-)

I so envy you buropeans and your long summer holidays... sigh
Have an uneventful trip to the island. We'll try to make your last week
here as fun as it can be without cats.

Good luck on your trip, I hope Frank and Nikki don't mind the voyage too
much. At least they have a whole summer on the island to look forward to
:-) Also sending out purrs for your biopsy and hair decision.
