Well, we're back, but have been catching up on 573 posts and have only had
time to respond to a few.

We enjoyed meeting Dave and Alice as well.

Hey! Watch it! That's my own personal cuddler! And I do NOT share!

I concur with "the gathering". Toad Suck??? It's a kinda "fur piece" from
anywhere but it sounds like fun. Is there a Holiday Inn? (just kidding!)

She's not kidding, folks. She *does* have a ton of pix. If she gets them
developed before they get back to NC, they'll need a trailer just for the
pix! Just kidding, Pam. They're great. What a wonderful experience!
Vacation has been fantastic so far, and I have 10

Sam's addendum: Pam and Rob are great folk. We felt like we'd known them
forever 2 minutes after we pulled up to their campsite. And Pam's kids are
absolutely fantastic. Very well behaved and thoroughly conversant with the
"old f*rts". A true pleasure to be around.
Pam and Rob have "done good" in the parenting department.

Sam, you and Ramona are totally wonderful. We're still talking about
all the great friends we've met on our trip so far. However, I have
taken more pictures since we met, including three rolls of today's
trip down "Hell's Canyon" Idaho.
Pine Cone would have been jealous, but I suspect that the little
stinker had stowed away on the boat. Rob's parents paid for the four
of us to take the day trip up the river and it was worth every penny
of it. The views were awesome, the "cap'n" knowledgeable, and the
company fun. We had a great time riding the waves and recommend the
trip for anyone who has a hundred bucks to spend, and can be in
Clarkston Washington for the journey. I got too much sun, and am
really tired from getting up at 5:30 am for the trip, but it was
really worth it. I got lots of pictures, bought Rob another goat for
Pine Cone to beat up, and got myself a really funny cute t-shirt. Did
I mention that I also took a lot of pictures?
Friday we go to Sandpoint Idaho to see Rob's cousin get married to his
long time live-in girlfriend. We'll be there until the fourth, or
maybe the fifth depending on how things go, and then back here until
the eigth, when we head out on our way home. We'll be traveling I-90
until after seeing Mt Rushmore and Devil's Tower, then plan on cutting
down to Denver, then following I-70 over. We're not planning dates
ahead, but if you want to see us, we can exchange phone numbers and
see if we can work something out.
Love to all, and thanks for a wonderful evening, Sam. You and Ramona
made it special.
Pam S. who really loves this group
