I had a long day at the vet hospital today. Worked from 8 to 6 with
an hour lunch. The day started out with an euthanasia which I
assisted with.
*sigh* Not a good way to start out the day.....
Anyways, the day did get better. I got to be with Pete, I checked on
the two lumps, (see Two Lumps) but there were a LOT of dogs boarding
this weekend because of the holiday. So by the time I was done, I was
pretty tired. But I was able to relax most of the evening. I have
dinner, play on the computer, and then get ready to take a shower
before bed.
I turn on the water and also cleaned the litter box, which is in the
bathroom. I take a nice, hot shower, but what do I see as soon as I
step out of the shower?
Mischief, squatting in the litter box, taking a dump. A big, smelly
one, too. She doesn't even bother to cover it up, just jumps out,
paws open the door and trots out.
Argh!! I'm all clean and now I have to clean a litterbox that I JUST
cleaned?
Grrrrrrrr................

After that it could only get better. Better to begin the day that way
than end it, it seems to me. You'd go home feeling really lousy,

Hmm. I wonder if she's feeling particularly territorial? Stinky is a
very good coverer, but he does that when the outside cats come around.

I've found that early in the day is a little easier on me, the owner. Its
also more likely as it often follows one of those nights you just can't put
you beloved pet through again.

Very good chance she was feeling jealous of the animal scents you brought
home, and that was her way of letting you know.

Sammy is one of those kitties who can't stand a freshly cleaned
litterbox with the litter all smoothed out. She just has to hop in and
dig a hole, even if she has no intention of actually making a deposit.
