Hi, this is Cougar sneaking on to my meomie's computer while she is doing
the laundry. I just have to tell you that she is so mean to me! Last night,
she was putting lotion on her feet, so I had to go see if I could sneak a
lick or two. I just LOVE her lotion, and she always tells me not to lick
it. Well, when I came over to see what it was, she let me sniff the tube. My
god! It smelled so bad! I backed up a good foot away, and gagged! Meomie was
laughing at me, so I went over and laid beside the bathtub and gave her the
meanest look I could muster. She laughed even harder, so I went and told my
brothers, Sasquatch and Marble. Sas told me he would take care of it, and
went in to tell meomie that she was mean. Meomie offered the tube to him,
and he slapped it, HARD! There, that will teach it! All tree of us sat
across the room and glared at mom till she was done. We forgave her a little
later, as it was time for dinner and we were REALLY hungry!
Kitty kisses,
Cougar

Giggle. Poor kitties with such a mean meomie with beautiful feet. I guess
Sas showed that tube of lotion who's boss.

My mom has a d*g named Princess Leia. She's an American Eskimo/Jack
Russell mix. hehehe.
Anyway, Mom puts this lotion on her hand, and Leia would curl up on
the bed licking her hand like a lollipop. I think she still does it
every now and then.

My cat, Cinders, has taken to licking me on a regular basis. I
suppose that it is a grooming instinct, such as a mother cat would
give to her kittens. If she is licking a place where the skin is
relatively tough, such as the palm of my hand, this isn't a problem,
but places where the skin is thinner soon start complaining about the
raspy tongue.
Cinders didn't start this behavior until about a month after I had to
have Katie put to sleep due to cancer. I have wondered if she had
been in the habit of grooming her fellow cat.
