The cat formerly known as Victor Velcro is now know as Einstein.

Victor ripped a large hole in the screen on the porch so he could get out
when he was locked in at night.  David taped the hole up quite snuggly with
duct tape.  Did that deter Victor?  Absolutly not!

David retaped it.  Same result.

Ah-ha. A piece of plywood over the hole held in place with a scarecrow
fashioned from a tall wine bottle holder, a poncho, and a hat.  Next
morning.  Scarecrow on the floor, plywood on the floor, cat gone.

David going for the big guns!  Four foot by four foot piece of plywood held
in place by a tall wooden planter, unfortunately on wheels.  Next morning
planter in middle of floor, plywood moved aside just wide enough for a
skinny, 8 pound cat to get to the hole in the screen and get into the Out.

That's It.  War is now declared!  The large piece of plywood is put in
place.  The two plastic "bamboo" curtains are dropped over the plywood
adding weight.  Two cement blocks are pushed against the bottom of the
plywood.  A chair is pushed into the mix as well as the  planter with
wheels.  "This will do it," we cry victoriously. Silly us.

The next morning, ah-ha, Victor was in the house, but it appeared that he
took his anger out by either biting off or tearing off the ends of about 10
of the bamboo slats.

The cats were locked in the house this early evening. David and I were
outside, I was cleaning up the banana forest and David was at the back of
the  house by the hole-y screen when out popped Victor. I didn't believe
David until he walk over to me with Victor in his arms.  That little shi**ty
cat hadn't nipped off the ends of the bamboo curtains.  He was climbing up
them, going over the edge of the plywood, squishing himself between the
screen and board until he got to the hole and jumped out!

He is a royal pain in the a** but I have to give him his due, he is
brilliant!

PS.  We locked him down again.  David and I were on the porch rifiling
through some stuff in the freezer deciding what to have for dinner.  Victor
goes trotting by us and out the cat door we had left open for Aggie.  He had
figured how to open the Cat Flap Door that opens from the porch into the
dinning room.  It does NOT open from the dinning room into the porch.  Or
didn't until tonight.

Victor Velcro aka Einstein makes my head hurt!

ROTFL sounds like you should make his name Houdini

Steve, you are maybe right, Houdini would be a good name for him.  Of course
we have many names for Victor, some of which can not be uttered in public!

Absolutly correct Marina.  He is a Russian Blue Mix, only weighs 8 pounds
and is 5.5 years old.  He gets into the darnest things!  I really mean it
when I say he is brilliant.
