My daughter, who till recently was unable to have cats because her soon to
be ex hates them, now has 4! 2 of them are rescues - one of them, Kit-Kat,
was abandoned at the vet hospital where she works, Aiden was abandoned near
my brother's house, and on sunday she became the proud slave of 2 8 week old
kits, Kyiara and Kouvou. When she called me last night, she was laughing so
hard she almost couldn't talk! Seems that Kit-Kat, who is NOT amused by the
kits, was hiding in the bathroom, and was growling at the kits. Little
Kyiara, being the brave little girl she is, stuck her foot under the door to
see if she could find out what was making that noise! She was feeling
around, and all of a sudden, Kit-Kat slapped her foot! Beth said the kitten
must have jumped back a good 4 feet, and landed on her brother, who
immediately thought the world was coming to an end, and he jumped backwards
and hissed! After they got calmed back down, they went back to the door, and
stuck their paws under again, with the same reaction from Kit-Kat. They soon
got tired and went to sleep, and then Kit-Kat put her paws under the door to
see where they went! I think that they all will do very well together, don't
you? <G> I am going to post a photo of my youngest granddaugher, Jenna with
Aiden on a.b.p.a if anyone wants to see them!

The under-the-door method of introducing cats, plus thier natural
curiosity and playfulness, has a great success rate. And i would love
to see your pic of Aiden and Jenna.

Ahh - aren't kittens absolutely GREAT!?! They are just absolutely amusing.
I've got two new fosters - unrelated, different ages, and totally different
personalities. The little torti is like a spoiled single child - everything
is "mine, mine, mine" - from toys to food, even sharing my lap. The little
boy is so calm in comparison, and shy, but he's coming around. Hates being
left alone, has decided to follow me around the house.
Congrats to your daughter for the new additions! :)
