The fighting between Fizz and Pippin has re-escalated, and Pippin has
started spraying on the family room wall and carpet.  TED says we need to
wait a few more weeks on the current medication dose before we'll know its
true effect and whether it needs to be changed or adjusted.

We've started isolating Fizz in one room with water and litter when we're
not around to supervise.  I've added litterboxes to other parts of the
house, and we try to intervene before a fight whenever possible.  Plus
positive reinforcement when they are peaceful together.

I've hosed down the carpet with Nature's miracle, and am getting ready to
shampoo it thoroughly.

Continued purrs would be greatly appreciated.  All your advice from the
first go-round is also appreciated.  I am particularly hopeful that the
isolation and supervision treatment will be helpful.  I just wish I could
trust Pippin not to pee/spray in the one room where the baby spends the most
time.

Thanks again,
Caroline S.

You've got plenty of purrs coming your way.  That problem can be so
frustrating.  The feral cats in the neighborhood will scent mark near
our porch.  My poor Sumo will get a whiff and want to do the same, but
he's an inside cat.  The screen door to the porch is an important
place for the kitties to patrol, and it must drive them crazy.  Not
that it does much for the care providers who have to live with the
results either.

Fortunately, it's only the occasional whiff of the aroma coming from
the outside that drives him to scent mark.  My other boy, Smokey,
never does and except for the occasional stare-down, my two boys get
along .  Hope the medication works out for you before you get driven
to distraction.

Regards and Purrs,

Purrs continuing for you Caroline.  Can't remember if I gave you this link
to a urine removal product but here it is --
