LOL! Actually, I wouldn't doubt it. I'm not too happy with the Australian
government right now. We just found out that they raised the number of
points required to immigrate there from 115 to 120. We can only get 115.
So that makes us have to go on a waiting list, etc. Grrr! Also, they are
talking about taking pilots off the list of jobs that qualify. If that
happens, we're in deep doo doo. I'm so shocked and upset right now...our
whole future is up in the air all of a sudden :-(

I can hear you. I've been trying to get my Dad to come and live
here too (he's the only one in the family left in the UK now),
but as there are apparently 22,000 people on the waiting list for
a parent visa and they're only letting in about 1,500 of those
per year, a 70-year-old's chances don't look all that good. Of
course you can jump to the front of that queue for $A25,000, and
it's all official and legal! Grrr... I'd bang on a lot more about
the lack of compassion in our current government, which will
probably be voted out later this year, but unfortunately the
other side don't sound much better. A pox on the lot of 'em!
Right, enough politics. I need some nice cat pictures.

I'm so sorry about your dad. That just sucks, there definitely seems to be
a lack of compassion there.
Oh, I know, you can always jump to the front with money. That's how my
parents got to Canada from Germany when I was a kid. They sold their house
for a big profit and qualified instantly. I guess we'll just have to save a
bit harder!
Have you looked at Vino's pictures lately? Nothing new in there, but they
are nice ;-)
BTW, what happened to the rest of your wheels? Are you unicycling now?!?

LOL and woke up the rest of the office! I'll think I'd better
check the bolts on my other 7 wheels very carefully before I
leave for home tonight. In the mean time, a Vino fix may be just
what I need.

Don't get me started on our government...
Th eproblem with the page is not that I can't see picture so much as it
simply won't even connect. Every time it type it in or click on it, my modem
just sits there, dead as a doornail. It has no probs going to other pages at
the same time or downloading my mail & newgroups while I'm trying to get to
that page. Its very odd. I expect that sort of weird erratic
isp-not-answering sort of time outs every so often, but generally you just
have to "wake up" the modem by forcing it to upload/download (ie, send
myself an e-mail) and it comes right again. But not with this page. It
simply sits and does absolutley nothing. Bizarre.
