Have long haired cat which as a resuklt of this it is bothered with
furball looking for information on how best to tackle this.

Take a look at some of the inexpensive over-the-counter hairball
preparations available. There are a bunch that are pastes that you smear
on the front of the cat's leg. When they wash it off with their tongues,
they ingest it. Much easier than administering meds orally!
