I watched Shadow on the ShamCam today

I feel like a voyer but it really gives me insight. Shadow also slept all
day, but he moved around a lot. He mostly stayed in view of the camera but
he would jump to the floor and lay sprawled out like he was dead for a long
time. Then he'd go back to the chair by the window (where I had the cam
trained). I told my friend at work (who also likes watching the kitties;
she's the one with a cam on her new poodle puppies) that he just doesn't
seem happy anymore. I fear that the stretching out is because he is in pain
and can't get comfortable. I am just obsessed about not making him stay
suffering.  If only he could talk to me!!!!!!  :(  I try to remember that
IBD for a cat is similar if not the same thing as colitis or similar in
humans and that there are good days and not so good days. Where to draw the
line?????????????????  :((

Cheryl, I think you can possilby obsess too much over it too. My cats move
around a LOT when I watch them sleep when I am home. Be careful not to
project your anxiety onto Shadow,or you may create the very thing you wish
to avoid. I think you would know if he was *really* uncomfortable. Purrs and
hugs to you. I know it is hard.

I think that is what I'm doing. Sorry to have brought it up. :(

Nooo! Don't be sorry. It's necessary to bring it up because sometimes that's
the *only* way we can tell we are doing it. Believe me, I've obsessed over
many things in my life. It'll drive you crazy not to talk about it
sometimes. Many hugs.

No, no, don't be sorry. It's good that you brought it up, so we can tell you
not to obsess about it. I know it's hard not to, but that's why we're here.
About changing positions, my cats do that all the time. When it's hot, Frank
will stretch out on the floor to cool off, then go back and sleep on the
bed. Then, when he gets hot, he goes back on the floor, etc.
