Everyone's a critic! :)
My cats' ears perk up whenever there are felines of any type on the TV.
Especially babies, whether kittens of domestic cats, or cheetah cubs or
whatever. The sound of feline babies is an instant attention-getter
around here.
Since I like to watch shows like "Big Cat Diary" (an Animal Planet show),
one of them will usually tune in with me. It's so funny to see that moment
when the cat in question realizes that there are *cats* on TV and suddenly
becomes riveted to the screen.
They're not interested in birds, mice, fish, or other prey animals. A
friend gave me one of those "Catnip" videos, and none of the kitties was
the slightest bit interested. I sure felt like a fool when everyone had
gone off to other pursuits, and I was still there watching mice run around. :)

I need to get one of those. I think mine (well, at least one out the three)
would like it. Shamrock loved that Terminix commercial with the termites on
the screen.

Cali hates to see other animals on TV, especially cats.
Does love to watch the squirrel video on the big screen though.

Persia doesn't pay any attention to television. I *did* have to change the
ring-tone on my new cell phone from a cat meowing to a horse neighing. The
ring was too disturbing for her. But then I rarely get calls on the thing,
so when I heard a horse neighing earlier in the week I thought to myself,
"Hmm, wonder which neighbor got a horse?" I didn't realize it was my phone.

LOL! Frank has been known to jump after a bird that took flight on TV, so he
might be interested. Nikki doesn't show much interest in the tv (unless she
is actually watching when I think she is sleeping beteen my ankles on the
footrest), but I have one picture where Frank and Nikki are standing against
the screen of the telly when they were much younger. The programme was about
cats, and really got their attention. We couldn't see the programme, because
they were in the way, communicating with the other cats through the screen.
