Cat Forum / Cat Anecdotes / May 2004Tucker might appreciate some purrs
Hi all, Since Saturday, Celeste and I have noticed that Tucker seems to be sore on his left hip so I took him in to the vet today and it looks like he got bit by some-furry-one here and might have the start of an abcess. I left him at the vet so they could anesthetize, shave and check his injury closer but so far he is still in line for the procedure to be done due to emergencies. Purrs that he recovers completely from the abscess. Those are no fun. Frank had one last summer, and since it's very difficult to get to a vet from the island, I had to tend it myself. That stench is something awful! Purrs that the abscess heals quickly. Frank will abscess anytime he gets a puncture wound. We've never had to have a tube, though. Poor little guy.
