Very handsome fellow. I especially liked the one of him settled
in on the lounge chair with a good selection of remote controls
at hand.

He's gorgeous Yowie, you both must be so proud. I particularly like the
close-ups at the end, so sweet!

Cary sure looks like his daddy. And Joel is such a good daddy. There
is a lot of love in those pictures.

I like his "you _got_ to be kidding" face in number 73. ;o) The whole

I don't know where you both got this "bringing" concept from?
I clearly mentioned *sending* - I mean yowie had her chance, she could have
come before, now couldn't she??
The Yowlet is coming on his own for Swedish summers with aunty Lena and

You need to duck and run old woman, I still want my granny time with

These are great pictures Yowie, although too few of you and Carey. Share
that camera with Joel :)  Also, where are the Carey/Smogg/Fluffy pics?

I very much enjoyed the pictures, thanks for sharing.

OK, where is the bare kitten fever warning?  You're making me want a
grandchild SO MUCH!!  Cary is adorable and your whole family is perfect
in their joy.  Thank you for posting them.  I was wondering when we'd
get to see the little guy.

Sweetie, I'm old enough to have been your mum.  (48, almost 49) and
would seriously love to be a spare granny for little Cary.  BTW I found
some great one piece baby suits (onesies?) pure black with heavy metal
group symbols on them.  Interested?

You aren't old enough to be *my* mother (well, biologically, maybe, but
pregnancy at 14 is rare) but you are the same age as Joel's Mum would have
been, if she was still with us.

As to the heavy metal suits, they would be grand. Just no Metallica (we
don't like them) and probably best off in the size above newborn, at the
rate he's growing. Some of the newborn stuff is already getting tight on
him!

Cary's favourite music is Meatloaf, as I listened to alot of his stuff while
pregnant, and only whinges in the car if we are doing under 60 kph. I think
he's going to grow up into a head-banging hoon. may as well peirce his ears
and give him his first tatt now.... :-)

And we'd love you to be a spare granny. But don't be surprised if you aren't
the only one, the Gereckes and Jean also hold that honour. And then there
are all the honorary aunts and uncles....

I'm honored.  Do Aussie CD Players take the same CDs as Merkin ones?
I'll have to send my honorary Grandson some Meatloaf music (it's one of
my favorites too) along with one of those heavy metal onesies (I saw
only 18 mos size which should fit him about this spring (fall for USA)
at the rate he's growing.

Both my kids were into classic rock and high speeds due to both their
parents' influence.  Mandy is also into alternative music, thanks mainly
to Rob, I suspect.  I taught Mike to honor and worship at the feet of
Weird Al, Jim Stafford, and Ray Stevens.

Definitely preferable to some of the dross around today!  Whatever
happened to Jim Stafford - he had a couple of hits in the UK but that
was thirty years ago.  Is he still about/still recording?

And Yowie - I trust you're going to expose Cary to some of the Eighties

Like he has a choice....

Until he has enough money to buy CDs (or whatever the format will be inthe
future) and operate a CD player, the poor boy will be subject to the musical
whims of his parents.

Flick of Seagulls, Meatloaf, 50 Cent and Grieg all on a compilation album
"Favourites of the Chapmans", what a musically confused boy he will grow up
to be!!!

Yup, Aussie CDs and Merkin CDs are the same, its the DVDs and
videocassesttes that are different, although we can buy "altered" DVD
players and the better video players & TVs have NTSC playback options as
well. Meatloaf music would be greatly appreciated. DOn't suppose you've got
any Motorhead hanging around as well? We can't get Motorhead here without
importing it (dark mutterings....) unless we find it in a second hand shop
on vinyl. Classic hard rock/metal is the muscial genre Joel and I have in
common. Otherwise, my tastes are heavily influenced by the "new wave" style
of the 80's and Joel likes rap, hip hop and that sort of thing although we
do occasionally show our eclectic music tastes by grabbing some Deep Forest,
or "Songs from Botswana" type stuff.

Weird Al is one of the ones we listen to in the car. Car music is
specifically stuff that we *both* like, so the selection is rather limited.
But Weird Al is one of those one that we both enjoy (and sing at the top of
our lungs, well did before Cary turned up). Haven't heard of Jim Stafford or
Ray Stevens - they may be exclusively American artists?

Ah ha!!  Now we know what to keep an eye out for.  Will have to see if I
can find some fun stuff for you as well.  Junk Food Junkie, that type of
song.  I also need to get some music planned out for the trip, and cut a
couple of CDs for that as well.

The pictures are wonderful, adorable, etc.

Only one thing, and most every Mom is guilty of this.  Don't let Cody grow
up and look at the pictures  and wonder if he even had a Mom.  Make a point
of handing Joel the camera once in a while too.

After all pictures of mother and child are the most prized subject there is.
