Yesterday was running a few errands and fun. Met Johanna from ages-ago
work and her 22 or 23yo long-haired calico, Nutmeg. A beautiful cat,
shy but accepted attention and warmed up quickly. From there we visited
my 1956 Imperial, bought sight unseen, at a garage in Oxford NY. Thence
to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame (first time!) and found a
tuxedo nosing among the pallets at an Agway. He wasn't shy but was vey
busy in his agricultual chores. Next up, at the Cooperstown Brewery (if
you're in the area try Old Slugger or BackYard IPA - fine and hoppy!)
... Miz Max, a working cat who accepted scritches and seemed like a
geriatric cat but the grumpy managers help was limited to her name.
What with 400mi on the road and all the stops I was glad to get home and
tho it was late and a rainy mist there was Quinn, outside and wet ...
mine own waiting for me. Oh, and just incidentally - dinner :-)

22 or 23?? Wow! And she was able to respond to attention? I'm impressed.

And her previous cat died at 23! Truly blessed (altho the sad part is,
she lost that one the same week she had to put her dog down, and her
father died, I just can't imagine)
