Usually, when I go to bed, Grant gets on my right side, Pearl on my left and
Sugar lays on my right foot. Well, spring has come and Grant spends most the
night sleeping in the catnapper looking out the window. Pearl saw this as an
excellent opportunity to sleep between my legs. So, Sugar gets up by my head
and demands pets, and pets, and pets walks down to my hip and stares at
Pearl, jumps down and runs over to the desk and begins knocking photos down.
I tell her to stop and call her to come over, which she does, and repeats
the above. Exactly. Except since there are no more pictures to knock over so
she begins scratching on the wall across the room. OK, I'm no dummy. I moved
Pearl from between my legs to the left side where she somewhat huffily
settles down. Sugar IMMEDIATELY runs across the room, jumps up on the bed
and lays down on my right foot, happy as a clam. Apparently, Pearl was just
TOO near Sugar's sleeping spot. She spoke loud and clear.

Oh, man. I'm jealous. Mine just won't sleep with me. Biskit used to and now
she's moved to the floor next to the bed. I think I kick around too much at
night.

How's that pretty Biskit doing, Sherry? Any new photos?

She is doing so good. I finally got myself a lap cat. I don't think I ever saw
a more loving little cat. Her coat is growing back out from being shaved, so
she doesn't look so scroungy and weird anymore. And she has stopped being so
afraid of open windows, she even sits and looks out now :)

Aahh, some happy news. With so much strive going on in the world, we really
need to take pleasure in and recognize the importance of the "small" things.
Congratulations to Biskit on her choice of laps, and to you for being
chosen.

Same here!
When I first adopted Imp, I tried to get him used to sleeping on my
bed near my pillow. But because I have funky dreams and tend to
thrash around a lot, he doesn't spend much time on my bed, unless the
window's open and he can sniff the night air. but even then he
doesn't stay long

Wow! I'm glad that solved the problem! So do you get to turn over at
night?

Actually, most of the time I wake up about two a.m. to use the bathroom, and
then I go sleep on the couch (which is actually more comfortable than my
bed. I must get a new matress someday.) I got used to sleeping on the couch
when it was SO hot in my old apt. and now I prefer it, but I try to start in
the bed. LOL!
