Earlier this week, when it started raining, Quinn looked up with fear in
his eyes, and slunk off toward the hallway then reversed and slunk
downstairs to hide in the basement turmoil.  Well!, I thought.  Not seen
him do that before or even scared!

Last night we got some thunderstorms, I woke up and picked up Quinn
before he could run and brought him back to bed, alongside me under the
comforter and gave him scritches.  He started purring and he eventually
fell asleep first, and I could feel his toes twitch on my chest in
reaction to a dream, likely about meeses.  It was so nice, the only cat
I had who did that was Max - it was his favorite nap place, day or
night.  A wonderful memory for me.  When I woke later Quinn was gone but
when it thundered later I could feel a lump by my foot.  Sure enough, it
was Quinn, back under the comforter on his own.   I truly feel
complimented and favored.  Norm

I know how you feel. Nikki has never been an affectionate cat like that.
She's always slept on my legs, on top of the covers. But just this last
winter, she has come and curled up in my armpit in the night a couple of
times. The rare times she has done that, I feel truly honoured.
