Oliver's 3rd Birthday

Today is Oliver's 3rd birthday.  When we found him the vet thought he
was born the first week of may and since we're Star Trek nerds and had
already given him the designation 5 of 5 it seemed to fit.  Plus my RB
Argus the Golden Retriever was born on May 7th and we wanted everyone to
have their own special day.

Oliver's big surprise gift was a kitty walk pet stroller.  He has wanted
one for a long time (he just didn't know it  :-)).  It is assembled and
he is going in and out of it but we will not take a walk with it until
Oliver's Daddy gets home from a business trip.

We're having tuna for dinner tonight which the guest of honor will take
a few nibbles of and leave the rest for us.  He loves tuna but like all
food that isn't his dry stuff he'll have a nibble and then be off.
We'll also have a small smidgen of vanilla ice cream when Daddy gets
home.  Again Oliver will eat about 1/2 a teaspoon before giving it to
out Lab, Boone.

Happy Birthday my little darling!

When I adopted Smudge in September of 1997, she was 4 months old, and
when I adopted Roxy in July of 1998, she was 2 months old. So they're
both May babies, and I have two birthdays this month! Smudge is 7 and
Roxy 6.

Smudge has definitely started showing signs of fogy-ness (mostly by
watching disdainfully while Roxy and Licky race around the house like
maniacs), but Roxy still considers herself a kitten, I'm sure!

Licky will be reaching his first birthday soon. I'm not sure exactly
which month he was born - I first got him as a foster toward the end
of last August, but I can't remember if he was 2 or 3 months old.

All my kitties are growing up and getting older!!

Happy Birthday Smudge and Roxy!  I think you should say Licky's birthday
is this month, too, so you can have a party almost every week!  :-)

You'll notice the grey tabby went thru a name change from Trouble to Jesse,
he was adopted by a friend of mine who shares her birthday with the kittens
:)

It was her digital camera coming to take all these pictures!! (except the
birthnight ones, those were scanned from pics taken on 35mm)

Kristy, that would be so cool to be there from the beginning.  Did you
do anything special to have her imprint on you as a wee one?  I saw my
lab about a week after he was born and when I picked him up (I was
helping his breeder) I just KNEW that he was mine.  Even tho I picked up
all the other 8 pups in the litter he was just the right one before he
had even developed a personality!

Happy Birthday Tootsie!

I think i picked her up alot more because i knew she was the one out of the
litter that i wanted to keep, so i paid alot of attention to her.  She's not
a terribly affectionate cat, but she does enjoy being in the same room with
me..

Kristy
i think shes just one of those aloof torties

Oh how SWEET!  Happy Birthday, Oliver!

I always wanted to get Persia one of those strollers but settled on the
kitty walk for the patio instead.  She meows, moans, cries when it's not
nice weather and she cannot sit outside in it.  I also got her the
attachment kitty walk cabana... it's finally getting warm outside and not
raining.  And here mean old "mom" is going to go away in a week and board
her with the vet!

Well, hope your sweet Oliver gets to enjoy the meal, the dessert and the
stroller!

I knew how happy you were with your kitty walk product which helped us
decide to get it.  I'll let you know how it goes.  Maybe Persia will
"guilt" you into one after your next trip!  :-)

Seriously, Persia probably doesn't mind going to the kennel too much
since her Meowmie seems so happy.  I hope you have a great trip!

Thanks Victor!  Oliver was actually shocked that some people don't
celebrate their cat kid's birthday with expensive gifts and treats.  :-)
If he only knew that for some cats having a roof over their head and
someone to love them every day was more than enough he might sing a
different tune.  3 year olds can be so self centered.  :-)

Hi Theresa,

I don't think it matters if you celebrate on the real day.  We're just
guessing with Oliver, too.  What matters is you celebrate (with lots of
tuna says the birthday boy!)
