He was stood crying at the back door, not quite sure if he was welcome or
not :) Of course I picked him up and shut the door. He's eating and drinking
OK, but not excessively, and is being very affectionate. I don't think he'll
be 100% happy until Ade gets home though.

Oh, that's wonderful, Jeanette! Do you have any idea where he's been? I'm
sure he's trying to tell you. When Frank had been AWOL for 5 weeks, he
wouldn't stop talking, even when he was eating. Give the wayward rascal a
scritch from me.

He's not starving, or very thirsty, but he does smell dusty and his feet are
dirty. However, the food I put out last night is all gone, and it's been
raining all day here, so he MIGHT have been locked in somewhere for the last
five days. He is eating just fine though, and hasn't been sick or anything.

somewhere?

Hopitus2 - 04 May 2004 21:36 GMT
Our supplications have been answered. Hopitus2 requests you consider
reforming McCavity into an indoors-only dude (difficult and unpleasant, but
possible), only because Blind Terrorist Rowdy sees only thru his right eye
and is front-declawed to boot; because of this and the neighborhood dogs
(there is no traffic here and a lake in back) I refuse to let him out on his
own. None of my business indeed, but please consider this option. It
curtails his pleasures to wander as a feline explorer, but I sleep well
every night, worry-free as to his welfare (or as well as anyone can sleep
w/fat Evil 3 draped all over their heads/pillows).

Cav says that he has learned his lesson, and may he please please please go
out again. The only dogs in our neighbourhood are big soft wussies who have
their own cat friends, and know how to behave with them.

Happy Dance!! Isn't it funny how most cats that have been missing want
to tell you all about it? I remember a feww other people reporting
that. And my Sheba and Djoser told me all about their escapades, too,
a few years ago.

Unlikely, we're pretty good at getting our cats neutered round here, and
I've certainly not heard any yowling. Besides, Cav was neutered when he was
six months old. I think he got locked in somewhere with enough mouses for
him not to get too hungry.
