Buster acclimatizing

Buster is getting more used to being here.

I always put a separate bowl of food out for him, so that he knows he
is welcome. Now, there are also two full bowls in the kitchen, where
Little Feet eats.

When Buster comes back inside, he usually hurries and takes a place
next to either me or Senyah. Sometimes he goes right to the bed and
takes a nap.

He has started letting Little Feet sniff him (to see where he's been),
without twitching.

When he gets hungry, Buster has started going into the kitchen to eat,
instead of eating from the "visitor" bowl. Yay, Buster!

Buster is a lot more confident, and doesn't panic when something
"unusual" happens, like when I pop open a trash bag after taking out
the trash, or when I carry the clothes basket from the laundry room
past his sleeping spot, or when I turn on the dishwasher.

All of these things used to spook him to the point that he wanted back
outside. It would appear that he has gotten used to our routines, and
feels safe in our presence. Now if I can just convince him that
staying inside is much better than going outside...

No, that was Bubba Kitty, and he was taken in with one of Senyah's
friends. By the way, Bubba Kitty is livin' the life of Reilly.

Glad you posted that.  I frequently think of Bubba and often wanted
to ask if you ever see him or hear about him and how he's doing.  His
story *has* to be my favorite ever.  I keep a hard-copy in a special
folder to re-read on occasion.

I'm really glad, it sounds like you're all making good progress together.

Very heartwarming.  :) Every step forward is a miracle with some of these
guys.
