Nap disturber

I'm lying on the bed reading a good book. Little Feet is lying nearby,
deep in dreamland.

Every now and then, I look over at him. He is so darned cute, that I
want to reach over and skritch his ears, or rub his tummy, or just pet
him. Howevr, I resist the temptation (you thought *I* was the nap
disturber, didn't you?).

So I'm watching him.

At one point, the tip of his tail starts moving. It moves up and down.
Each time it moves, it brushes against his forehead. His forehead
twitches each time. After a few minutes of this, he places his paw on
the tail, still asleep.

But it takes more than this to stop the wily tail. After all, it is
just the tip that is moving.

A moment passes, while the tail remains still, waitiing for its prey.
Little Feet drops back into his nap. Grasping its opening, the tip of
the tail starts moving again, this time brushing forehead and nose.

Little Feet's nose twitches. Little Feet's eyebrows twitch. Claws
extend, and toes spread in the paw that is holding the tail.

One more twitch, and Little Feet has had all he can stand.

He slaps at the tail with his other paw, pulls the tail under his
body, and goes back to sleep. He is not bothered by the evil tail
after this.

Mark

That is quite a tail (tale)!

That was really funny Mark,Wilson's tail often flicks me while he's asleep,
now that he sleeps in the chair behind me, just like Little Bits. You know
Wilson was
only 5 weeks when I got him, born ferral, but he
displays all the things that Buster does*or did*
you wouldn't think he would, being found at such a
young age, but I was once told, or heard that it take's
3 generations for the ferral in a cat to disappear,
I dont know if its true or not but Wilson wouldn't
have cause to behave as a ferral from 5 weeks unless
it was hereditary, what do you think?  Jean.P.

Robin will do the same thing. His tail is very unruly. But his tail
will also disturb him while he is washing himself. It is hilarious to
watch.

I think a lot of them have interesting relationships with their tails.
Stinky does.  It also wakes him up sometimes, and sneaks up on him,
and rudely attacks him.  He is also very meticulous about making sure
it is very clean, all the way down to the tippy-tip. ;)

Frank, too, but he has to hold it down with his paw while he's washing it,
just like he holds down Nikki when he wants to wash her and she doesn't want
him to.

Stinky, too.  Sometimes, also, when he is resting beside me, he will
wrap his tail around my arm, or leg, or whatever part of me is close
to him.  I don't know whether it is conscious or not, but it's cute.

I wonder why that is?

That sounds hilarious.  I'd pay money to see it.  When my Lady
Jane Grey washes her tail, she picks it up in her paw rather than
holding it down.

LOL! Even messages from the mother ship aren't important enough to wake up
from a nap for!

LOL! Those tails can be wily creatures, can't they? Frank has a very unruly
tail, too, though it mostly slaps me in the face when we are sleeping, and
not Frank. Sometimes, even now at the age of 16, Frank has to chase it
around to put it in its place good and proper.

Oh my god what a great story!

We thought Joe was the only one with a separate brain in his tail.

It's an antenna to the mothership.
