Marina - 02 May 2004 10:45 GMT There are more pics of my niece's Russian Blue kittens at
http://mia.daug.net/kitten4.php
Next Sunday they will be 12 weeks old and most of them will be going to their new homes then. I wish I had time to go and see them one last time, but I don't, so have to make do with the pics.

Marina - 02 May 2004 10:54 GMT > There are more pics of my niece's Russian Blue kittens at PS Forgot to say that the yellow thing they are playing with in the final pictures is a thing sold for Walpurgis. It's a stick with a lot of paper streamers at one end. You're supposed to wave it about and it makes a swishing noise. Have no idea why you're supposed to wave it about, maybe to scare off evil? The kittens seem to have enjoyed it. ;o)

The very first thing that would come into my mind on seeing a stick with a lot of paper streamers at one end is, "Cat toy!!" :)
Those kittens are so cute, Marina. They're at that perfect age. I love all the pictures you have of them playing.

> Those kittens are so cute, Marina. They're at that perfect age. I love > all the pictures you have of them playing. Thanks, but I can't take credit for the photos. My niece took them, she's a much better photographer than I am, and she has a much better camera. I can't believe the one where the kitten is sitting with its head cocked, looking straight into the camera and smiling! You'd think it was photoshopped or something.

My favorite (well, I have several - so, *one* of my favorites) is the one of Dalasi lying on top of a bunch of yellow streamers, looking a bit play-frazzled, with one ear cocked to the side. Also, the one of Dalasi cuddling next to Kasper - Kasper's looking down (with eyes closed, maybe), while Dalasi is looking up, straight at the camera. Also, Dukaatti and Dalasi cuddling on the couch together, with one of them lying on its back, is very sweet. Hmmm, there's a theme here - Dalasi is in all of my favorites. I guess he's just a photogenic kitty! (Or is Dalasi a girl?)

Dalasi seems to be the one that my niece calls a "blonde". At least she's pretty. ;o)

At least she's pretty. ;o) Dalasi may be a blonde, but she's a smart blonde. They're all adorable and how have you managed to get past there without sneaking one in your hat? Dalasi would be missed to soon, but one of the other ones...
Those kittens are so cute. I have to remind myself of the various problems with kitten stewardship in order to talk myself down from an attack of raging kitten fever. Please thank your niece for the picture show. I think I've forced every member of the hoomin family to check them out.

Dalasi would be missed to soon, but one of the other ones... Kira, their mother, watched me like a hawk every time I visited them. She followed me to the hallway, supervised me putting on my coat and saw me out the door. There is no way I could have got a kitten past her. ;o)

I've never used those for anything except cat toys!

Karen Chuplis - 02 May 2004 17:03 GMT >> There are more pics of my niece's Russian Blue kittens at > [quoted text clipped - 6 lines] > -- > Marina They make those here for things too. We call them pom poms. You see them (or used to) at school events and carnivals. I was thinking, *that* must have been fun to clean up. It would be fun to have one around for an ocassional toy.

I love that one of Dukatti sitting with his head tilted and tail wrapped around feet. I'd swear he's wearing a kitty smile.

Gorgeous kitties!
