Tomorrow he starts his *big* examinations... between then and July is the
biggest test of his young life - his GCSE examinations. This decides what he
can study to age 18 and then on into university.

Tomorrow he has his German oral examination.

Any purrs of any language which can be spared, will be gratefully accepted.

Cheers, and thanks, helen s

Its been 17 years (ie, half my life) and I *still* have nightmares about my
final Highschool exams. its an *aweful* time and IMNSHO has far too much
pressure put on the result. No-one tells you that  that they really aren't
hte be-all and end-all of life, that there are other routes to get into Uni
(or other further education) if you bomb out, and that your highschool marks
don't count for diddly-squat in 10 years time when you have got yourself a
job and have shown wht sort of worker you are. Hard work and enthusiasm are
far more valuable than high marks and average-but-dilligent makes a much
better employee (or even if you are self employed) than brilliant-but-lazy.

So purrs to Nathan, and reassurance that the world really doesn't revolve
around these exams. They are important, yes, but the world won't end if you
don't do as well as you hoped.

We can supply Finnish and Swedish purrs. Oh, I hated German in school, but
now I wish I had paid more attention. All that grammar! Best of luck to
