Little black cat is sweet, healthy (but may have a touch of
ringworm, which is being treated) but unfortunately very
pregnant.
She's been abandoned by her humans who moved house
and just left her.
A friend of mine found her and is currently looking after
her, but cannot keep her.
She does NOT want to take her to a shelter, because she's
sure that the cat would be put down because she's pregnant
(is that true? West Lothian Cat Rescue sure as heck wouldn't)
She's posted this info to her Live Journal page - I don't want
to link to that because it also contains *stuff* about her own
life (not locked, but all the same....)
If folks respond here I can pass your messages to her.

Many purrs for the little black kitty and her upcoming babies to find their
onetruehomes; please tell your friend we're thinking of her; she is very
kind to help this poor cat.

Ditto.
Might I add that my story with Little Bit is just like the black momma
kitty's. She must have had owners before she came to me, since she had
worn a flea collar the previous summer. But, one cold morning she
showed up on my patio, skinny and very pregnant, and wanted in, NOW,
and never left. I looked for her previous owner (well at least looked
a little), but she convinced me that she was home. When it came time
to find homes for her kits Sammy stayed with us, even though I lived
(and still live) in a "No Pet" apartment complex.

I don't know anyone in that area, but wanted to post that we are
sending out finest onetruehome purrs northward to DC in hopes that the
kitty finds a good slave.
