The other day a couple from the cycling club I belong to called round, in their
car, to drop off some paperwork which I was going to pass along to a third
party. I saw them pull-up outside the house, so I opened my front door. I was
followed by Francis. One of my firends got out of her car - Francis went over
and introduced himself by rubbing his head on her foot and chirruping at her.
Then... he jumped on the bonnet of her car and looked intently through the
windscreen at the driver (friend's husband). Francis stuck his nose up against
the glass, chirruped and rolled over, flashing his belly at the driver. I told
Francis he really shouldn't be such a tart and be more modest about showing his
belly to total strangers ;-) He got up, looked at me with a distinctly *frosty*
expression, stuck his tail in the air, jumped off the car bonnet and ran over
to one of out willow trees. He spent about 20 minutes up there in a total huff
;-)
