City Throws Tantrum - Real ****-in-the-manger...
Alexandria, Virginny -- No more lunch with your pooch. The city was known
for being d*g-friendly. But now it's cracking down on restaurants that serve
d*gs as well as their owners on outside patios.
City officials say health codes prohibited d*gs at restaurants since 1940.
They claim they just want to keep residents safe from bacteria.
That doesn't sit well with the more than 100 d*glovers who bring their pets
to D*ggie Happy Hour at the Holiday Inn Select in Old Town. The restaurant
has been welcoming four-legged customers for five years.
From now on, only carryout food will be allowed. Two other restaurants that
have been serving d*gs have also been asked to stop. The city is getting
back at d*g owners for opposing plans to relocate a d*g park.

How silly. Pretty soon, they won't let espresso kiosks give dogs treats! I
love seeing how excited the dogs in the cars in front of me is when it pulls
up to the espresso window. So cute.
