That's the first time I've seen the film image of Garfield. I don't like it -
it's not Garfield, it's a ginger cat, but it's not Garfield.

I agree Helen. The character isn't at all the mental picture I had of what
Garfield would look like.

You gotta watch the trailer!  It's kinda funny.  And yeah - Garfield had
black stripes, but the FACE sure does look like him - I just wish that Bill
Murray had tried to sound more like the cartoon Garfield (voiced by Lorenzo
Music who passed away in 2001). According to imdb.com, Jim Davis - creator
of Garfield - has a cameo as a "drunken conventioner"

Nah - it's not Garfield for me. Pity, I love Garfield - have done so for years.
When Vernon & I first set up home together & we got our very first Christmas
tree, I didn't buy a fairy for the top of the tree, I bought a little Garfield
wearing a Santa hat. He still goes on the tree every year :-)

You're right.  That isn't Garfield.

And IMO, Garfield isn't a cat. Rather he's a little person in a cat suit,
unlike, say, Bucky in Get Fuzzy who's 100% feisty feline, even though he
knows human-speak.

As much as I love Garfield, I'm not sure I see the point of a
live-action Garfield movie. If I want to watch a cat eat and sleep, I
have Felix. :-)
