Oh I know Hops!! I wasn't insinuating you at all... Truth be, I didn't
read
all of the msgs and I don't recall what most of anybody has said.
(rude I
know, got a buttkicking cold right now so....) This was an unbiased
and
un.... what's that word for umm.. rubbing off on someone/prompted...
comment
:)

And you are absolutely right though, the Monarchy does put forth a
great
image today (to us USA'ers) but centuries are telling and the fact is,
there
are some mighty big skeletons in that closet.

I think... I don't know... *bleh* I didn't think colds and stuff was
supposed to be contagious.

Grace

Where do you live that you thought colds and stuff were not
contagious?

Do you live in the South then? I ask because there are parts of the
South where the people are trying to turn back science and outlaw
evolution.
So it would be understandable that you never learned about bacteria or
viruses. If you outlaw real biology and get taught some fundamentalist
crap then yeah, I can see where you are coming from, the Bible Belt?

You're in college now or were? You have access to libraries yes? I
remember another post of yours which said you "believed in
rehabilitation." That's like your comments about colds. You're going
by prejudice and instincts. So far, rehabilitation has never, ever
been shown to work yet, according to the National Academy of Science
(they are the best scientists who review when things don't go right).
It's been a huge problem for decades. Billions of dollars have been
lost because all those programs never worked, not Scared Straight, not
this or whatever. People keep on committing crimes whether
rehabilitated or not. What happens is that after the middle 30's, they
age out and the crimes decrease as the men, and they are almost all
males, get older.

Teach me to not read all the way through...

Lemon Curd

Per Tablespoon:
58 Calories, 1 gr. Protein, 3 gr. Fat, 7 gr. Carbohydrates

3 eggs
3 lemons
1 cup sugar
8 tbsp. unsalted butter, cut into pieces

1. In a small bowl, beat the eggs lightly and set aside.

2. Grate 2 tsps. yellow zest and squeeze 1/2 cup juice from the lemons.
Place the zest, juice, sugar and butter in a heat-proof bowl. Set over a
pan of simmering water. Whisk mixture until butter is melted and sugar
dissolves.

3. Slowly whisk 1/2 cup of this lemon mixture into the eggs, then pour
egg mixture in a slow steady stream back into the lemon mixture,
whisking constantly over the simmering water. Continue stirring until
mixture thickens and coats back of spoon, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Strain.

4. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until set. Serve curd with toast.
