Purr request

I don't often do this do I? But it's a bad night. My mother's cat, her
darling 14 year old Lulu, is in the vets with severe constipation, and will
be having a very expensive enema tomorrow. Purrs please that this will sort
her out, and that there isn't anything more sinister wrong. And, in
addition, my friend in New York has just told me that her Dweeble is in an
oxygen tent and scheduled for emergency surgery tomorrow after complications
from minor surgery have led to a possible hole in his trachea. As I said,
not a good night for the cats.

I've got McCavity's motor revving :)
JBHajos - 19 Apr 2004 23:23 GMT
Purrs from Hobo and Speckles, doggy-wags from Sandy, and the best of
good wishes from me for Lulu and Dweeble.  We do hope that both will
do fine and be better soonest.  Please keep us posted.

Many many purrs for Lulu's enema (hoping its just a big old hairball!)
and for Dweeble (cute name!).  Cats are extremely resilliant and
sometimes it seems no matter what they go through, if the fighting spirit
is strong, they can make it. Look at Shadow.  :)

Yes, I thought of Shadow immediately when my friend told me about Dweeble.

Jeanette, Many, many Purrs for both cats!!!! hope to goodness
that Lulu's is a simple constipation, and Dweeble recovers quickly,
was that caused by carelessness by the Vet?  Jean.P.

Well, that will probably never be known. I do understand that in small
animal surgery, accidents happen, but I've never heard of a cat getting
'aerated' before. It seems that the poor puss has air under his skin
JP Hobbs - 20 Apr 2004 11:16 GMT
It is strange, Ive never heard of it either.   Jean.P.

Blessings on McCavity, again. Power purrs beaming up from south FL as the
Evil 3 send meatloaf meditations for speedy recovery of those two faraway
felines in trouble.

Many purrs coming over for Lulu and for Dweeble. Poor kitties. Purrs for
their humans, too.

Purrs for all concerned.  I hope that Lulu is fine and maybe when she's
better, you could show your mom www.catenema.com for a lighthearted look at
the whole thing :)

That website is brilliant, thank you.

I've not heard from Dweeble's owner today, but Luly survived OK, she was
under anaesthetic for an hour, which is a long time for a fourteen year old
cat, but she's home, empty, and disgruntled. I'll keep you all up to date :)
Thank you for the purrs.

Usually, when someone tells me a cat is dislikes strangers or is mean,
I can amaze them by walking and and petting the cat. After seeing a
pic of Fred in the flesh, I decidied that this might be a cat I
wouldn't like to pet - he looks awfully agitated (course that could
just be from being startled from a flash).

Did you see this guy during his brief flash of net fame?:

He cracked me up.  Such a little shrimpy cat!  Be afraid, be very
afraid!
