Stinky often sits on top of the chair back while I read; this
afternoon, he decided the top of my head needed a good cleaning--
either than, or there was something there that smelled good to him. ;)
The funny thing, this time, when I tried to move, he lifted up a paw,
and put it down very firmly on top of my head so he could finish.
When he did, he cleaned his paws, then just continued his usual full-
body cleaning on himself.
I feel very grateful, and much cleaner than I was. ;)

Single-mindedness is all very well in cows or baboons; in an animal
claiming to belong to the same species as Shakespeare it is simply disgraceful.

I just love it when one of the Evil 3 decides to groom the hoomin slave's
head. What an honor.

Persia doesn't lick my head, but she does comb my hair with her teeth from
time to time. It tickles me no end!

Issa does that all the time. We have a funny picture of him cleaning his
grand-paw (Tom's dad) while standing on his lap... it's too funny!

It just seemed so optimistic of him to think he could hold me down, I
had to humor him. It was just like what the late Boss, tiny Mimi,
used to do to him when she was still with us-- she would start
sniffing his head; he would squirm, and she would plant a paw on him
and hold him down so she could give him the good cleaning he so
obviously needed. ;)

When I get out of the shower at home either Amelia or Tabitha jumps up
on my shoulder to help me shave and brush my teeth. While they're up
they they grrom the back and top of my head. If I move my head too much,
Tabitha will put a paw (with claws out!) on top of my head to get me to
hold still.

Sounds like they've found a way to share this task!

Theresea, you really must learn to sit still while Stinky is performing this
very important task of cleaning you properly. ;o)

Yes, you'd think I'd know by now. ;) As I wrote in another posting, I
think it's the same treatment he got as junior cat from (now RB)
Tiny Boss Cat, Mimi.
