That 'African Wild Cat' looks suspiciously like my Mandy, who claims she's
a Domestic Shorthair aka Alley Cat. Maybe it's a bit skinnier and more
leggy and athletic-looking, but the markings are very similar.

They are endangered because they so readily interbreed with domestic
cats. At a glance, it's not easy to tell the difference.
