do i feel so guilty. i have just dropped mistoffelees and Grizzy off at the
boarding kennel so i can go away for a few days and i am crying my eyes out.
the place is so quiet without them.
i know it is best for them but they dont understand that and howled and
cried all the way there. thay have been there before and are bothin the same
cage so at least they have company.

it is the local rehoming centre as they do boarding to help with the cost.
the staff are great as they always play with them and cuddle them and there
are toys waiting in the cages for them.

Mistofflees went straight to bed for a sulk and grizzy was busy trying to
work out how to get out.

i can never understand how two cats can make me feel so cruel!!

still its only for a week.

aw, they're just like recalcitrant teenagers, making meowmie feel guilty.
Just know you put them in a nice, safe place where they will be well-taken
care of and ENJOY your vacation. You deserve it.

The short, furry people we love know exactly how to push our guilt buttons,
just like our bare-kids do. The good news is that they have much shorter
memories than hoomin kids and all you'll get when reunited with them is
enthusiastic loving from them, and no blame.

Cats are champions at laying on the guilt.  It's their job.  Your job is
to realize that it's 90% an act (They will miss you, but they won't be
nearly as miserable as they let on) and to enjoy your trip.

I know the feeling well.  I hope you enjoy your trip anyway, knowing
that they are safe and well cared for, and are actually having quite a
decent time in between conferring in the cage to plan their revenge.

well i ahve survived my first night without them amd am leaving in a couple
of hours. it was strange having a bed to myself again and i kinda missed
Grizzy bringing me her ball during the night. i have just had a bowl of
cornflakes in peace for the firat time in years and forgot mistoffelees
wasnt here and called him to get the milk remaining in the bowl.

Still i am off to pack as i should have left an hour ago

I hope you have a lovely time and don't miss the cats too much.

Have a lovely vacation and try not to think too much about
the babies but I know what it feels like, when I went to England
for six weeks to visit my sister, I worried about Henri so much my sister
bought me a soft white cat that said meow when you pressed its
tummy.  Jean.P.
