Cinnamon, a slightly orange male tabby, has been waking my mom in the
middle of the night annoyingly often. So my mom closed her bedroom
door to keep the cat out. So she could get a good long sleep. That was
2 nights ago. Last night the door was shut again, so Cinnamon started
pawing the door making a lot of thumping noise. This was around 6AM.
Mom gets up and feeds the cat, and as she checks something on a calendar
posted on the fridge, Cinnamon meows at her. He didn't finish the cat food
just yet, and mom shakes the food bowl a little to encourage him to finish.
Then mom starts walking to the bedroom (at the other end of the house)
and the cat leaves his food unfinished and runs to her bedroom before
she can get there (she's a bit slow). And Cinnamon hops on the bed waiting
for mom. So he doesn't get shut out by the door this time! The cat was
smart
enough to figure that he ought to get inside the bedroom before mom gets
there
so he doesn't get shut out. :-)
