Single-mindedness is all very well in cows or baboons; in an animal
claiming to belong to the same species as Shakespeare it is simply disgraceful.

From a young cats point of view, our back yard right now is a seething mass
of activity which must all be personally monitored.  There are the winged
maple seeds floating off the tree.  There are things that hop and fly and
buzz and chirp and wiggle and twitch.  All of which require her direct
attention and intervention.

Poor thing may have to be hospitalized for exhaustion if this keeps up.  She
is visibly losing weight cause there is little nourishment in her "kills"
and she drops in her tracks before she remembers to eat when she comes
inside.
