Whenever I get home, once I sit down at the computer Mischief works
her way onto my hap to be petted. She loves it when I scratch her
back at the base of the tail, and when I scritch her forehead at the
same time. She loves it so much, she drools.
Normally I don't mind, but I'm wearing shorts now. So one minute I'm
scritching her and the next I feel something wet drop on my leg.
Eeeew!
imp drooled when I first got him, but he doesn't any more.

Yes, Cleo drools ALL the time when being petted, mind you she is around 14
or 15 years old.

My Cleo also drools, but only when she's indulging in a catnip roll.
She's turning 10 next year.

Yup. Luna is a drooler big time. I don't mind at all... she's my princess.

Annabel Lee tended to drool. She was the only cat that I have ever
had that drooled, however.

Mr. Bob and Patrick both drool when they get really lovey, especially Mr.

and sends it flying!

Rocky does. When he starts to purr he get a looks of utter bliss -
eyes shut and mouth open. When I posted a couple pix in apba someone
wrote and asked if he was blind because his eyes were always shut -
nope just REALLY happy.

I don't, but my church used to. He lived in the neighborhood, and would
always come to join in the after-church coffee and conversation in the
patio. He loved to be picked up and held, and drooled copiously when
anyone did so.

Oh yes! The red one - Bono - does. He's a serious drooler, drips ... always
leaves a wet spot on my sleeve when he watches tv on the sofa with me .

You think that's bad - when Roxy and I cuddle together, she loves to
rub noses with me. Which I think is adorable, but usually she drools
and the spit (or snot - not sure which it is) gets on my lips. How's
that for "eeeew"? LOL. :) But I put up with it because I adore her.

Is it just wet or slimy?

Just wet. But I have to wonder what's in it, because sometimes, a day
after I've been rubbing noses with her and getting her drool on my nose,
I'll get a couple of pimples right in that area. Perhaps I'm better off
not thinking about that...

Probably from rubbing your nose with your hand.

Single-mindedness is all very well in cows or baboons; in an animal
claiming to belong to the same species as Shakespeare it is simply disgraceful.

Frank loves rubbing noses with me, too, but fortunately, he doesn't drool.
He does have the eternal sniffles, though, so you never know what's coming
out of his nose. ;o)

I still find it amazing that we put up with things from cats that we'd never
put up with from another human, however much we loved them. Snoopy doesn't
dribble but she gives me love bites, sometimes she forgets herself and bites
hard enough to draw blood, but there is no way I could get cross with her.

Our office kitty Tiger is quite a drooler. While you pet him with one
hand, he wants to give you lovebites on the other; he gnaws and
slobbers on my fingers the whole time. When I'm done petting Ozzy I
have to go wash the dirt off my hands, and when I'm done petting Tiger
I have to go wash off the drool. :-P
