I sent BlueBird your messages, and got this response:
Boy, those brought some gratitude tears..... LOTS of them. Those people
are special. Please tell them that of all the people online, the cat
people on this ng are the most special. They've always been right there
for me even though I can't post anymore. I pray that I will get
steadily better AGAIN !!!! and will be able to post soon. A few
questions that I remember ( a word that should not be used by me !!!!).
First, Little Bit is a little girl, she was a year old on the 22nd of
January this year, I turned her over to God and asked that His will be
done as they were doing the test and told Him I'd deal with His outcome
whatever it was, as for a miracle, it would have to be just that. She
has already lost one kidney completely and 3/4 of the other one. She's
moving pretty fast. I'm treating her as if she's not sick, but she is
wanting to hide away where it is dark and she's alone. That is killing
me to watch it as much as losing her. I can see it in her eyes. She
knows it's time. I've had LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of cats. I used to
even take in cats with FIV and keep them and love them until they had to
be put to sleep. There is a certain look in their eyes when they know
the fight is over. Everything I've tried and she still is not eating
anything. She is getting so skinny. I'm afraid that IV fluids would
just prolong the pain and I can't do that to her. I'd like to talk to
the one who talked to me about the kidney failure. I don't even
remember her name. Would you ask her to message me? I just can't do
much typing. This message is about a full days worth of typing. I've
got to get off here now. I just want the people on the ng to know how
precious their support is. It means a LOT to me to get their messages
of love and support for both of us. I'm keeping them in a folder with
Little Bit's name on it. I think they will mean a lot to me later down
the road a piece. I've kept all the words of kindness and support for
Little Bit and I.
Thanks AGAIN, Joy !!!!!!!! Love all of you so VERY MUCH !!!!!!!! BTW,
in case anyone needs it, my phone # has changed. Joy has the new
number, so ask her if you need it. I'm not sure about posting a number
in a ng, don'tcha know ??????
Later........................

My thoughts are with BlueBird at this sad time, at a year and a bit old
Little Bit should have lots more to look forward too.
Sending mega purrs from this side of the world and prayers for you both.

Thank you all for the purrs, sympathy, and good thoughts. All of your
messages are being sent to BlueBird, and she is putting them together
into a "LittleBit book", which she says will comfort her when the time
comes.

I'm so sorry Little Bit is so sick. And so young. I do so wish there was
something we could do.
Hugs and purrs,

Thank you, Dan. It was much appreciated. Unfortunately, LittleBit
appears to have been born with defective kidneys, and is not a candidate
for any of the usual treatments - or even unusual ones, such as
transplants.
