Lacey has been running and jumping and playing with wild abandon lately.
She is such a funny cat whom it appears has an imaginary friend.  She
chases her friend and runs from it and sometimes she just stalks her
friend.  We aren't sure exactly what her friend looks like but she does
enjoy playing with it.  The other night DH glanced over and started
laughing and told me to get the camera. Lacey had run under an area rug
that we have and was hiding from her friend.  I have posted some of
those pictures as well as a couple of Selena.  Selena was lying on the
table next to my couch just watching me. I managed to get a picture of
that.  There are also several black and white photos of our a plant in
our yard with ice and snow - I've been wanting to play with black and
white photography and the snow gave me an opportunity.  Selena also
makes a nice B&W subject because of her coloring.

Selena says Thank you very much! Its funny how expressive their eyes can
be. Lacey can make you feel loved, guilty, terrified, ect with just her
eyes.

Beautiful Pictures, Julie.  Not only are you an excellent photographer,
but the subjects lend themselves to becoming beautiful pictures.

Lacy is a *beautiful* cat, such  unusual eyes. She even looks like she has a
sly little smile. Selena is a beauty, too. Thanks for sharing those.

Selena says thank you, Sherry.  Until I took those pictures I hadn't
realized that Lacey had such a 'cheshire cat' type smile.  The orange
patch on her chin though does make her appear to smiling.  The trouble
is it looks like a conspiratorial smile.  I wonder what she is up to?

Oh, yes - Licorice has a friend like that. Maybe it's the same friend,
who pays visits to many different cats. In my house, this friend seems
to enjoy the bathroom. I often walk into the bathroom to find Licorice
meatloafing on the floor, facing in the general direction of the litter
box, staring intently. What (or who) does he see in there?

They are both really beautiful cats! I love Lacey's eyes! And Selena
has gorgeous markings. They both look really sweet, very nice photos.

(But what's with that Yahoo site? No "next" links on the photos -
you have to go back to the thumbnails to click on the next pic. Bad
design!!)

Aha!  That's what it is, an imaginary friend!  I'm pretty sure Vino has one.
Every evening, he hangs out in the empty (especially for him) bottom shelf
of a small cabinet we have.  He sits in the shelf facing out and intently
stares at the aircon unit which is mounted on the ceiling over the windows.
He stares at it for at least 2-3 hours every night.  His friend must live in
the aircon unit, has created a nest or something because we never use that
particular aircon.
About the Yahoo pictures site, it's strange but it happened with someone
else's pictures one time too.  I just clicked on slideshow and it went
through them all on it's own.

Yep, PC's on the move. Of course he would recruit Vino to the crew -
afterall Vino has a hat and everything.

Hmmmm, maybe I know what is going on. It is getting warmer in the
southeastern states of the US and spring is just around the corner.
When spring arrives certain boycats begin to feel wanderlust and
desires for certain ladycats.  Perhaps one certain east coast boycat has
begun to feel the wanderlust and is ghosting out and holding recuitment
seminars for this year's pirate voyage.

Pam, have you noticed any difference in PC's behavior lately? Perhaps
your PC is a ghost of the PC that is visiting our homes lately.

Thank you Britta. That smile makes her look like she's up to something,
doesn't it? I have a table cloth that I use at Christmas that was lying
on the floor near the laundry basket waiting a chance for 'special
handling' wash.  Yesterday I came home to find that the table cloth that
started on one end of the house was now draped over the first platform
of the cat tree at the other end of the house.  Lacey had made a tree
hut from the table cloth.  I don't doubt that she had hid in her hut for
most of the day waiting on other feline family members to walk by so she
could surprise them.

Silly cat!

Wow, she *is* a smart cat!
Frank loves tableclothes, but unfortunately he's *not* a smart cat. When he
gets scolded, he hides under the tablecloth (while it's still on the table). I
honestly think he believes we can't see him. It's really hysterical to see the
big fat lump on top of the table which is a pouting cat.
It irritates Bootsie. She usually jumps him, like she is saying "What the *#(@
are you doing!! Get out from under there!"

ROFLOL! OMG, that needed a beverage warning. Thanks for the laugh, Sherry.

Karen, I can't find it! Was it older than 30 days? I found a reply to the

Yes it was amazing. Some day I am going to the Dismal river to see the
return of the cranes. It would be like that picture only multiplied by
thousands and on the ground in front of you!

Great pix, Julie.  Lacey looks quite the imp, while Selena looks regal.  And
where's Hobbes?

Hobbes was asleep on the treadmill when I had the camera out. He's
learned to use the treadmill - as a cot <sigh>. We tried to get him to
walk on the treadmill once. I waited at the end just in case disaster
struck and someone needed to catch him. He was standing up so DH turned
the treadmill on at the lowest setting.  Hobbes walked for a few seconds
and then just sat down.  I caught him as he came to the end. He didn't
seem to realize the belt was moving at all.

Your girls are so pretty!  Selena is just beautiful, as always, and
Lacey's cute little face is full of personality.  It's like Catherine
Deneuve (sp?) and Lucille Ball, kind of.   :-P
