How many cats does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Last night, I prepared to change the light bulb in the hallway. I set up a
ladder under the lamp, turned away to get the new light bulb, and turned
around to this.

heh ;-) Exactly what Waffles does. If Vernon or I ever have to go into the
loft, as soon as the stepladders appear a certain black-furred, one-eyed lady
cat *howls* to be allowed in The Big Up. I've known her climb up Vernon's back
whislt he's in the process of opening the loft access hatch ;-) Francis follows
son after and scary-cat who is all mouth and no-action a.k.a. Marble, sits and
frets at the bottom of the ladder.

Cheers, helen s

What *is* the deal with cats & ladders?? This is one of my favorite pics of DH
& Bootsie. The pic isn't that remarkable, but it's just that she stayed there
for for the entire afternoon.

That's pretty cute actually, especially since she is "Daddy's little  girl"
:)

LOL! I'd even go as far as to say, what is the deal with black(-and-white)
cats and ladders? Mine love all stepladders and ladders, and always
investigate it if they see one. I usually have the one in the picture
standing against the wall, and Nikki sometimes tries to climb it even then,
though it's folded and hard to climb.

Well then this  black kittyboy seems to be the exeption to the rule.
He's not interested in ladders in any way other than if said ladder, or
stool or whatever, helps him look out of the window or access someplace.

Oh, thankss. Bootsie really is "daddy's girl." I swear she gets in his lap at
night and looks at me and sneers.
Bootsie slid down the hood of his brand new truck, leaving four claw lines all
the way down. He just said, "Bootsie, you rascal."
*Only* bootsie could get away with it.

With m y three, ladders are access to The Big Up, wherein lie lots of
*interesting* smells and hidey-holes to visit. Plus the occasional mouse and
bat.

Mine aren't so crazy about ladders, but they adore The Big Down, the
very nasty crawlspace under my house. On the rare occasions the trapdoor
giving access to the space is open, they head there immediately. It has
smelly mud, all kinds of intriguing cat-sized nooks and crannies, and, I
suspect, sometimes mice. A workman was rather worried that I'd be upset
because they raced down there when he went down, and couldn't be
retrieved. But I knew the trick - wait until they get hungry (my cats
may have delusions of being mighty hunters, but are sadly lacking in
practical skill), and, when they are in the main house chomping away on
the catfood, sneak  over to the trapdoor and shut it.
