Of course I did. I sstill have Alexandra upstairs in the Kitty Rescue
Room, awaiting her March 8th date to go to the shelter. So last
night, DH opens the door, and there on the porch is a little white
kitten. Friendly. What am I to do? Not gonna leave the filthy
little thing (grease or something all over her) out there in the cold.
Ack! Can't put her in the bathroom -- other cats' litterboxes there.
Crap! What do I do? Okay, grab a carrier, and lock her in that in
the bathroom while I try to think at 4 am (not an easy task). Wait a
minute! I show the apartments for the landlord, and heck, there's an
empty one next door. Hahahahaha! But, oops, we have no extra
litterbox. Urp. Okay, grab a cardboard box, put some shelf paper
under it, and toss some litter in. Will have to do for the night.
Luckily, I have a bag of kitten food a friend gave me awhile back.
Knew that would come in handy. Another cardboard box with a towel in
it for a bed, and she's set!
Wonder if I can talk the shelter into taking two at once? And wonder
how weird it's going to be today when I show the apartment to a
prospective tenant and have to explain the current tenancy of a cat!
Arrrrrghhhhhhhh!

probably be running around dealing with 9 cats in three places!

You can't tell me they don't have a working network going to locate slaves
who will treat their needy with kindness and care......you will be
body-surfed across the RB when you finally arrive there by the multitudes
you've helped over the years. Good work, dear.

Wowsa! And you bathed the little white kittie too? You are a true hero.
Jill (dammit, the Oscars are tonight?! I forgot to have my gold lame gown
hemmed! Seriously, I bought an Oscar-quality gown circa 1938... fits like
it was tailored for me. I think I won an award back then LOL)

Not so -- I am not that crazy ;-) I once bathed a cat, my very first
one, Karma, who looked a *lot* like this little kitten, weirdly
enough. I did get some Dawn and accoutrements, and tried to get the
worst of the grease off the top of her little head. Didn't get it
all, but it's an improvement. And I can't believe how good she was
about it!

Oooo, sounds cool!
I applauded and whooped at the end when LOTR won. Woo-hoo!

I collect 'vintage' clothing... I know, it's a weird hobby. Luckily Persia
shows no interesting in using old gowns as a nest, although she frequently
inspects my closet to make sure I'm storing them correctly :) I hear her
rustling around in there in the dark.

You should get an Oscar yourself for your rescue work. Purrs for the
two kitties to be adopted quickly.

Purrs for things to work out with the new little guy. As ar as the
apartment showing, sounds like a good selling point - apartment comes
with its own feline. That sounds like a great way to pick good
neighbors. ;-)

LOL, Ginger-lyn, you have to take down that sign saying "Sucker" outside
your door! Good luck with the kitties.

it is that leades them to your house. Bless you. You'll find a way. You always
