It looks like Rocket is flying! Or maybe you're just growing something that makes people think that he's flying. ;)
BTW, I didn't know that you had put up the Sekhar kitten picture. It's very cute!

She is quite something - but she is a "daddy's girl" and only tolerates me.

Does that mean that you're the "old kitten" in one of those pictures? Hope you don't mind, but I "stole" some of those pictures to stick in my Webshot's wallpaper and screensaver album.

As in Sekhar loves daddy, tolerates me, and hides from guests. :)

I take the pictures, I don't get them taken of me.

Something new and fun. I still can't get over what an unusual looking cat Sekhar is!

Anyway, all your kitties are pretty. Niobe looks really cute in the picture titled, "the gang watching the bird feeder refill", with his (or her?) ear swiveled slightly backward. (How do you pronounce "Niobe", btw?)

She is named after the queen in a greek myth (she had 7 sons and 7 daughters and compared herself to Hera, and said her kids were better than Apollo and Artemis)
Sekhar is in this years calendar, I posted about it in September, when I found out.
We call the bird feeders "kitty cat TV", I've got the little feeders for the finches on the porch, and larger ones farther back for the blue jays and cardinals.

Of course, someone else could have posted about their cat being in that calendar 2 or 3 years ago, but more likely, time is playing tricks on me. Or rather, my *mind* is playing tricks with time, on me. :)

I still want a bumper sticker that reads "Death Is Nature's Way Of Saying Slow Down." I love that series, but my eyes tend to get crossed when I think about the family tree (or is that vine) involved in Niobe's family and their relations to the various incarnations. Piers Anthony is a strange little man.
Pam S. who love's Anthony's writing

Hi Pam,
I agree with that! I have read a couple of his other series, and am always amazed at what he thinks up. <G> In his Incarnations of Immortality book, With a Tangled Skein, Niobe's name meant tears. I found a website that lists his book list, and he has a lot more than I thought! Now, to start reading...

Has Piers Anthony come out with anything lately?

His personal web site is http://hipiers.com I haven't explored it, but got his news letter for a brief time in California. Our letter carrier refused to deliver it because it was against her religion to consort with evil science fiction. When told to deliver it anyway, she'd drop it on the ground beneath the mailbox. Crazy woman would deliver the mail in a pastel skirt, plaid knit vest, white blouse and pearls. She was really a sight, driving that mail delivery van.

Hopitus2 - 03 Mar 2004 22:01 GMT Well, mail carrier woman was supposed to deliver your mail "no matter wot" as that gum commercial says....but AFA what she wore while doing so, the USA is pretty liberal these days as to carriers attire in some areas.....my dad had to wear gray scratchy wool-blend long-sleeved uniform in *summer* in south FL (average temps: near 90oF) back in the 40 years he was a mail carrier (40 years ending in late 50's)! Our present mail carrier wears a uniform consisting of shirt/shorts, sneakers (dad wore steel-toed black leather) and being a Jamaican, his hair is braided in large long dreadlocks. Pete has served us faithfully and well for almost 15 years and gets a large Xmas tip in memory of my father. The only thing he wears that my dad did is a pith helmet....excellent for shielding head from evil sun here. How things change.

Our present mail carrier wears a > uniform consisting of shirt/shorts, sneakers... Well, thank God they've gotten more sensible about what carriers can wear! They're out all day in the weather, so they should dress for the weather, right? Some people must have gotten heat stroke in the old, scratchy-wool days!
