And I got the box!!!

Purrs,
Nikki

Paw Ess from Marina: After I brought home the box, Nikki sat beside it for
several hours and purred. When I walked past she would put a paw on the box
and look hopefully at me. Finally I broke down and unpacked the box, turned
it on its side and crumpled up the packing paper to a comfortable nest for
her.

Awwww, how sweet is that? I love it when they make their desires known
like that. How can one resist? Enjoyed the pictures.

I like boxes too. If there's one about, I'll be in it.

LOL!  I got some HEPA filters the other day and Pearl immediately hid
herself in the cast off paper they had been wrapped in.

That's Nikki too. Anything I bring into the house, bags, boxes, packages,
she has to get inside them all. I got a book I ordered in the mail, and the
package was too flat for Nikki to fit into it, but she had to try anyway.
Then I opened it up so it was just a flat piece of cardboard and Nikki lay
purring on it all evening.

Yes, and isn't it just EVER so helpful... When I return from WalMart
and set the bags down (maybe 3, maybe 8 or 9) to take off my coat and
catch my breath (walking is very hard these days), each and every one
gets pushed, poked, nosed, pawed ekcetra until Chaos is satisfied with
her inspection. Of course, that means stuff spilled all over, but it
seems to be MY job to pick it all back up, not hers...

You'd better warn Jazz. Nikki's quite the heart-breaker. She just loves 'em
and leaves 'em.

Only thing better is a box full of the foam peanuts that can be
scattered all over the apartment

Frank doesn't care much for boxes. When I brought it home, he just marked
all the corners of the box with his cheek, then he was done with it. He is
like a customs official who stamps his approval, then moves on to more
important things. ;o)

What funny behavior!  It's funny how cats always seem to be so
hopeful.  Betty waits at my chair when she wants to be on a lap, and
waits next to the cat dancer when she wants to play.

Nikki looks so much like my wife's cat, that I taken aback.  He also likes
to crawl into boxes and grocery bags, and if there is a newspaper left lying
on the floor, our cats will be sitting or laying on it -- been that way
since a kitten.  My wife got the cat as a kitten from a friend ( the mother
cat got killed by a racoon) who had named it 'Oreo' the same name as a
popular chocolate with white filling cookie.

LOL. This could go on forever.

I've been planning to record Nikki's purr for a long time now, because it is
so special. She sort of trills and purrs at the same time. It is the
sweetest sound, and the loudest purr I have ever heard from an adult cat.

Record it with a computer microphone, if possible, and make it into a
.wav -file that you can distribute to thus interested catslaves.
So just get her purring by the 'puter and continue from there...  :)
