As long as I was out taking pictures today, I discovered that some of
the local trees have been protesting the never ending roadwork around
the university.
They have surrounded themselves with bright orange webbing (they can't
very well chain themselves to a tree - big grin), and planted a
protest sign:

Nah. They're as dumb as the treehuggers. If they were really smart,
they'd move over 20 or 30 feet, out of the projected roadway...

LOL! Looks like the trees in my area (plus snow, which we don't have).
All along the "boulevard" that divides my street into two one-way
segments, the MTA is doing some sort of extensive road work. It's
connected with Metrorail, somehow, although I think it's to be an
express bus right-of-way, no rails. (In fact they've removed the rails
that used to be there - left over from the old Pacific Electric Railway
system that was discontinued many years ago.)

Maybe they could chain themselves to a Greenie? No?

We can get people to the Moon in five years,
not the fifteen GWB proposes.
