As I've mentioned, Buster has been keeping lookout as the local
wildlife eats catfood outside our front door. A few nights ago, things
got even more interesting.

Senyah came to tell me that it sounded like a cat fight was starting
up. As I approached the door, it did indeed sound that way.

I look out the window, and seeBuster with his hackles up, a possum
serenely eating from the bowl of cat food, and the big fluffy orange
cat trying to nose into the dish.

Buster finally gets in the orange cat's face, and tells him to shove
off, or else. As soon as the orange cat goes away, Buster lays back
down at the door, and watches over his little fuzzy possum buddy.

If I had any doubts about Buster's motives before, they are gone now -
he wants to make sure his buddies aren't chased off from their food.

On a side note, when Buster came back in, the big fluffy one sneaked
back to the food bowl. I carefully opened the door and pured another
cup of food in it for him. He may be scared of me, but he seemed
grateful (grin).

Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

OK, here are a few facts, followed by the only logical conclusion:

1. You're feeding the big fluffy one
2. He's grateful to you
3. (most important) He's orange

Conclusion: he will soon join your family. :)

That is so sweet you know I've only ever seen one stray round here
in the 14 yrs I've lived here,it had obviously been dumped, but it was so
sick
Its little body was sagging sideways, all I could do was feed it for a few
days and when it didn't show any improvement, ring the *cats friends*
a group that helps stray cats, it needed more help than I could afford, and
I was also afraid of risking Henri's health it looked so wretched poor thing
but I kept it in the bedroom a few days till they could pick it up, they
promised
they would try and save it and re-home it, so keep up the good work,
you are wonderful!!!!!    Jean P.
